Princeton Park District Board hears report on Zearing Park
Work at Princeton's Zearing Park gets a good report. The water is turned on at the new concession stand, work continues on the east and west walking paths, and the parking lot north of the new soccer fields should be open June first before baseball season begins. This is the report Superintendent of Parks Keith Scherer gave at last night’s Princeton Park District Board meeting. Scherer also stated that since the pond is open, he hopes people fishing there would catch and release any fish in order to give them a good chance to grow. The fields won’t be open until the fall, at which time a Grand Opening celebration is tentatively planned.
