Princeton Chamber's annual golf outing a success

A good time was had by all at the Princeton Chamber of Commerce “Annual Ambassador Golf Outing” Thursday at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course.  Chamber Director Kim Frey says those taking part were treated to 18 holes of golf in near-perfect weather.  The golf outing is one of the biggest Ambassador money-makers of the year, as money from the event funds the Building Improvement Grant that’s offered through the chamber.  While an exact total has yet to be determined, Frey is optimistic.  Prizes were awarded.  The First Place team, “ServiceMaster”, received a plaque, a dozen golf balls and tickets to the John Deere Classic.  Second Place, Citizens First National Bank, got a certificate and a dozen golf balls.  Side events were held, like longest-drive and shortest-putt.  Someone came close to winning a car by nearly getting a hole-in-one on the 8th hole.  The day also included a steak-fry and raffles.  Frey says the Chamber is now looking ahead to “Lunch In The Park” which begins next Friday with 18 scheduled throughout the summer.
