More staff changes at PHS

More staff changes were announced at this week’s Princeton High School Board meeting. Resignations were accepted by Head Cook Jennifer Barth, Student Affairs Secretary Maria Gold, and cafeteria workers Janice Eble and Janet Johnson. Board President John Young thanked them for their time and service. The board also approved the appointments of Kirk Becker and Kathy Johnson as summer custodians, Shawn Lewis as Food Service Manager, and Deb Stetson as part-time Business Education Teacher.

Principal Barb Schmidt reported the Student Council hosted its second blood drive this year on May 4^th. Eighty-four units of blood were collected which exceeded their goal of seventy-seven. Schmidt also stated that during the Talent Show on May 16^th, the students donated four hundred sixty-nine cans of food for the Bureau County Food Panty. She acknowledged it was a great community service for the school.
