Park District Board looks to increase revenue
The Princeton Park District Board is reducing their budget in order to increase revenue. A tentative 2011-2012 Budget was passed last night by the Princeton Park District Board. Executive Director Elaine Russell says no jobs were jeopardized but fulltime employees are taking on extra responsibilities. A public hearing for the budget will be held on September 6th at 4:15 p.m. at the Metro Center.
In other news, 95 degree weather brought out lots of swimmers at Alexander Park Pool as it opened yesterday. Russell announced they will cut back some hours and the number of weeks the pool will be open in order to reduce expenses. Alexander Pool is open June 6th through August 21st, Sunday through Saturday, twelve noon to five o’clock and closed on July 4th.
