Stabbings in DePue

DePue Police are investigating an early Tuesday morning stabbing incident in the village.  Police Chief Michael West says 2 men, ages 19 and 22, reported they were walking along Marquette Street at around 3:30 am when a black vehicle stopped and 2 men dressed in black jumped out and began swinging knives.  Both victims were cut in the arm, face, wrist and head but managed to drive themselves to St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.  Their names are being withheld as the investigation continues.
