Princeton City Council accepts bid for improvements to logistics center

princeton-seal     The Princeton City Council has split its vote on accepting a bid on an important project.  When the bid results for improvements to the Princeton Logistics Center came up at last night’s Princeton City Council meeting, Senior Project Engineer Kevin Lindeman stated that Advanced Asphalt will honor their original bid of $775,038, almost eighty-eight thousand dollars less than Fischer Excavating, Inc. Commissioner Ray Swanson then moved to accept Advanced Asphalt’s bid. The motion passed with Commissioners Joel Quiram and Bob Warren voting against the motion. In other business, the council approved appointing the following people to the Home Rule Ad Hoc Committee: Tom Hall, Alan Forristall, Melissa Burrows, Nancy Heiden, Rick Clary, Sam Fisher, Katie Chamberlin, Jim Angel, Terry Charbonneou, Joan May, Jim Scruggs, and Jerry Neuman along with non-voting members of Keith Cain, Joel Quiram, and Jeff Fiegenschuh. Mayor Keith Cain also announced that City Hall would be closed on Monday, July 4.
