PHS encourages students to make wise decisions
At last night’s Princeton High School Board meeting, Principal Barb Schmidt reported that twenty-nine students would be attending the Illinois Teen Institute retreat at Western Illinois University this summer. Only six were sent last year. Schmidt says the ITI is a leadership retreat that gives students skills and abilities to lead others into making good choices. In other business, all fees for the 2011-2012 school year, other than consumables, will be the same as last year, including the cafeteria prices. They will remain at one dollar for breakfast, two dollars for lunch, two dollars ten cents for ala cart, and two dollars fifty cents for adult lunch. These prices have remained the same for the past five years. The head coaches for the fall sports were appointed: Abby Cochran for Poms, Emily Thomas for Cheerleading, Brian Church for Boys Golf, Andy Puck for Volleyball, Jason Bird for Boys Soccer, Dave Moore for Football, and Connie Lind for Girls Tennis.
