Wife Of Imprisoned Former Illinois Governor Dies

     The wife of imprisoned former Illinois Governor George Ryan is dead. Lura Lynn Ryan died yesterday after battling lung cancer. She was 76 and had been hospitalized last week with breathing problems. George Ryan is in an Indiana prison serving time for corruption. His lawyers had made an unsuccessful court request last week to allow Ryan to visit his wife at an Illinois hospital.
