Rural Mineral man dies from injuries in tractor rollover

Updating a story we brought you earlier this week, a Bureau County man has died after being pinned underneath his tractor. 69-year-old William Doubler of rural Mineral was mowing his yard Wednesday morning near a grass pit when his tractor overturned. Emergency crews from Mineral, Sheffield and Annawan freed him from underneath the Cub Cadet and took him to Kewanee Hospital. He was then LifeFlighted to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where he was pronounced dead later that night. Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll performed an autopsy and ruled the cause of death to be asphyxia. Ingersoll says an inquest will be held at a later date.
