90th annual Marshall-Putnam Fair begins 5-day run

mp fair news     The 90th annual Marshall-Putnam Fair begins its five-day run today at the Route 29 fairgrounds in Henry. On tap today is the opening of the carnival, as well as horse racing and the fair queen pageant. Tomorrow's schedule includes horse racing, the carnival and a family fun night, featuring archery and air rifle for youth, a skillet throw for women, a hay bale toss for men and guys and gals wheelbarrow races. On Friday, it's the demolition derby while Saturday will feature a bridal show, bags tourney and tractor and truck pull. Sunday's wrap-up day at the fair will feature a car show, bocce ball tournament, talent show and a second tractor and truck pull. The Marshall-Putnam Fair features free entrance, free parking and a free entertainment stage. WRVY 100.5 will be broadcasting on-location at the fair from 2 to 5 tomorrow and Friday.
