City of Princeton going out for bids on 2 projects

princeton-seal     Two announcements for bids were made at last night’s Princeton City Council meeting. The city is inviting sealed bid proposals for the Phase Two Water Treatment Plant project. The City will receive bids until 2:00 p.m., August 23, 2011, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The city is also accepting bids for Storm Water Drainage Repair. Specifications are available at the City Clerk’s office. Bids must be returned to that office no later than Monday, July 18, 2011 by nine o’clock a.m. They will be publicly opened at ten o’clock a.m. on the same day at City Hall. In other business, Bill Smith was re-appointed to the Industrial Development Commission and Jeff Hunt and Loren Reed are newly appointed. Under new business, Commissioner Joel Quiram is asking for public input of ideas, suggestions, and designs for Darius Miller Park. The council is in agreement that something should be done to beautify and better utilize the space. Contact Quiram or Fiegenschuh with any propositions.
