Princeton woman's death ruled suicide
A Bureau County coroner’s jury has ruled the March death of a Princeton woman as suicide. The jury deliberated for a little over a half-hour yesterday before reaching their decision. Sharon Wilson, 46, was found dead in the early morning hours of March 12th at the home of her ex-boyfriend and roommate, Donald Hotchkiss, who has been accused by Wilson’s family of murdering her. But in her testimony, Bureau County Coroner Janice Wamhoff said the autopsy report determined Wilson died of asphyxiation from hanging, and the markings on her neck showed she had not been strangled. Wilson’s blood alcohol level at the time of her death was .235. The legal limit is .08. Nearly two dozen family members and friends of Wilson attended yesterday’s inquest.
