Excessive Heat Warning for most of week

We’re preparing for a stretch of hot weather.  The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning from noon today through Thursday night.  Daytime highs will be in the 90’s every day from Monday through Friday, peaking at 96 on Thursday.  The high humidity will make afternoon temperatures feel as hot as 110 degrees.  Heat illnesses are possible.  You should drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned areas as much as possible and stay out of the sun.  Also, be sure to check on relatives and neighbors, especially the elderly.  And don’t forget your pets!
