Plenty of places in Princeton to escape the heat
There’s a song with the line, “Hot fun in the summertime.” Well this weather may not be fun, but it certainly is hot this summer. But there are places you can go to keep cool. The Senior Citizens Center located at 16 West Marion St. in Princeton has been designated as a cooling center. It is open from eight to four o’clock, Monday through Friday. Kris Donarski of the Bureau County ESDA also encourages people to go to any public place such as the Prouty Building located at 435 S. Main St. Their hours are from eight a.m. to eight p.m. Monday through Friday; nine a.m. to four p.m. on Saturday; and noon to four p.m. on Sunday. The Princeton Public Library is another option to beat the heat. It is located at 698 East Peru St. They are open from ten a.m. to nine p.m. Monday through Thursday; ten a.m. to six p.m. on Friday, and nine a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. So if your house is too hot, try one of these alternatives.
