Lightning Strikes Historic Ottawa Building
A little more history happened to an historic building in downtown Ottawa yesterday morning. Lightning blasted the top of the chimney off the 154-year old Reddick Mansion. A shower of bricks accompanied the rain shower around the mansion. Reddick has been a tourist attraction since 1974. It sits right across the street from the location of the first 1858 U.S. Senate debate between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas.
