PES Bright Beginnings looking bright again

As voted upon at last night’s PES Board meeting, The Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Block Program will recall the following staff: Janet Becker as the Coordinator; Jodee Zelenik as Secretary; Barb Metzger as Parent Educator; Erica Blessman, Nicole Deutscher, and Susan Dietz as Teachers; and Shelley Colton, Jane Yarrington, Jodi McMillan, and Holly Wright as Aides. Kelly Hoffman was hired as the Early Childhood Special Ed Teacher and Amanda White as a Bright Beginnings Teacher. The board also accepted the resignation of Logan Jr. High Language Arts Teacher, Laura Gray.
In other business, a motion made by Steve Bouslog was passed five to two to develop a Comprehensive Building Plan. Bouslog said the two main goals of this plan should be 1). To develop a strategy to reduce expenses in all facilities and to use the district facilities in a cost-effective manner, and 2). To upgrade and/or provide and improve educational opportunities for students in the buildings. The Buildings Committee will be responsible to carry out this motion.
