Princeton high school board is presented with trophies

Three members of the Poms squad presented to the board at last night’s meeting the awards they received at camp this summer. Coach Abby Cochran, Kate Morrow, and Kayla Fawcett presented the third place team trophy. Cochran also presented a trophy they received for the number of individual ribbons the squad collected. Both trophies qualify the team to go to Nationals if they choose. They will perform their award winning routine during Blue and White night on Friday, August 19th.

In other business, orientation and registration was announced. Registration will be held on Wednesday, August 17th with Sophomores beginning at 9:00 a.m., Juniors at 11:00 a.m., and Seniors at 1:00 p.m. Freshman Orientation will be all day on Tuesday, August 16th. And the first day of attendance will be Monday, August 22nd with a 2 p.m. dismissal.
The board also approved the following appointments: Jody Lewis as Head Cook and Sandy Efflandt, Deanna Michael, and Jennifer Poss as cafeteria workers. Resignations were accepted by Elizabeth Anderson, English teacher, effective June 2012, and Vanessa Judd, Assistant Softball Coach. Judd is also on maternity leave.

In still other business, the board approved continuing the Intergovernmental Agreement for cooping football with Ohio High School for another two years.
