Ameren conducting controlled natural gas release

Ameren is having a controlled natural gas release effective now.  The release is at their pipeline east of Princeton at 1700 North Avenue and 2300 East Street.  Lieutenant Joe Welte of the Princeton Fire Department says the release poses no hazard, but Princeton residents may smell natural gas when outside.  If you smell gas inside your home, Welte says call 911.
