Olive Garden restaurant may be coming to Peru

   Illinois Valley diners have been wishing for an Olive Garden restaurant for many a year and now it appears that they may be getting their wish.  The Italian restaurant chain has applied for a building permit in Peru.  The company wants the building to be next to Kohl’s on the north end of Peru.  It’s not a done deal yet, however, as the building inspector’s office still needs to issue the permit.  The design and review committee will look over the plans Wednesday evening.
