Granville woman sentenced to prison on drug charges but found eligible for boot-camp program

A Granville woman has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to felony possession with intent to deliver heroin.  However, 23-year old Amy Davis has been found eligible for the Impact Incarceration Program, a 4 to 6 month boot-camp style program consisting of physical training education and counseling. If she successfully completes the program, she’ll be released with her sentenced considered served. If she doesn’t complete the program, she’s off to prison. Davis must also pay court costs and $1,200 in fees. Her conviction stems from a June 29th arrest. Davis was previously convicted of drug charges in La Salle County last year, but only received probation.
