Body found in cornfield near Tampico

Authorities are investigating a body found a cornfield Saturday afternoon north of Tampico.  The Whiteside County Sheriff's Office says the body was discovered in an area where a migrant worker disappeared while detassling a month and a half ago.  37-year old Humberto Sanchez was last seen the morning of July 19th when he left the field to get a drink of water.  After his disappearance, members of 11 fire departments, several emergency medical response teams and the Illinois State Police repeatedly searched the cornfield and surrounding area but found no trace of Sanchez.  The Whiteside County coroner is assisting with the investigation of the body found Saturday.
