Boy hospitalized after fall at Starved Rock State Park

For the second time in a week, someone has fallen while in a restricted area at Starved Rock State Park.  Last Tuesday, it was a 23-year old man.  This time it’s an eight-year old boy.  Conservation police say the youth was climbing in a restricted area Sunday afternoon when he fell 26 feet into Basswood Canyon.  The boy was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  No word yet on his condition.
