IVCC to host memorial service for slain basketball star

A memorial service has been scheduled for former Illinois Valley Community College basketball standout Shannon Washington. The service be held at noon on Tuesday, September 13th in IVCC’s Cultural Centre. Washington was killed in Tallahassee, Florida early Sunday morning. She was attending Florida A & M University on a basketball scholarship.
