Elderly couple struck by truck at Princeton Wal-Mart

An elderly man and woman were struck by a pickup truck yesterday morning as they walked through a pedestrian crossing at Princeton Wal-Mart.  Police and EMS arrived shortly before 8 am and found the 91-year old man and 86-year old woman lying on the ground near the store's south entrance.  Both were taken to Perry Memorial Hospital and treated for what police called non life-threatening head injuries.  The driver of the truck that struck the couple, 53-year old Schaun Tanner of Wisconsin, pulled over immediately and was charged with failure to yield for a pedestrian.
