Hit-and-run in Kewanee leaves bicyclist dead

Kewanee police are looking for the driver in a fatal hit-and-run that left a bicyclist dead Friday night.  40-year old Albino Dasilua was pronounced dead on the scene by Henry County Coroner David Johnson.  Police say Dasilua was struck at 10:40 p.m. in the 300 block of Tenney Street by what may have been a gray Chevrolet car.  The motorist didn’t stop and the vehicle was last seen heading south in the 400 block of Tenney Street.  It’s believed the auto sustained damage to its front right side.  Anyone with information on the case is urged to call the Kewanee Police Department at 309-853-1911 or Crime Stoppers at 800-227-2324.
