Princeton Police release August activity report

The Princeton Police Department’s activity report is out for August.  Chief Tom Root reports Police officers responded to a total of 1,025 calls during the month, with 37 ambulance assists, 5 fire assists, 28 police assists, answered 21 alarms, handled 7 funeral escorts, 13 thefts, nine criminal damage calls and 52 motorist assists.  Officers made 23 traffic arrests and 27 non-traffic arrests.  Eighty-three warnings were issued in August, and seven parking tickets were handed out.  One person was arrested for battery, two for aggravated battery, and four on theft charges.  There were three drug and 3 disorderly conduct arrests.  Four people were ticketed for speeding, 2 for driving with no valid driver’s license, 2 for seatbelt and 3 for driving on a suspended or revoked license.  Police handled 17 accidents during the month of August.
