State Police, Master Sergeant Joe Beliveau, has spent most of his career dedicated to undercover narcotic enforcement. To a crowd of approximately 120, Beliveau knowledgably spoke about the most popular drugs currently circulating, including bath salts, methadone, Heroin or Fontanel, K-4 a synthetic heroin, home-grown marijuana and medical marijuana, K-2 called “fake weed”, Methamphetamines, Ecstasy, Thizz, GHB, and Skittling. After the presentation, Beliveau took questions from the audience. CPASA Coordinator Dawn Conerton, encouraged people to not flush medications down the toilet or sink but take all drugs and substances to designated drop-off places. The Princeton Police Department, Spring Valley Police Department, the Bureau County Sheriff’s Office and Jail and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office can accept controlled substances including unused prescription drugs, liquid, animal, or expired medications, and needles.  For more information contact CPASA at 815-872-5091 ext. 224.
