Older of two alleged Westclox arsonists appears in court

The older of the 2 teens accused of starting the Westclox fire late New Year’s Eve had his first official court appearance yesterday.  17-year old Steven Gallagher will be arraigned January 19th on the Class X felony charge of aggravated arson. He was appointed a public defender, then taken back to the La Salle County Jail where he’s being held on $250,000 bond.  His co-defendant, a 15-year old boy from Peru makes his next juvenile court appearance on January 17th.
