“Suspicious” marina fire destroys 18 luxury boats

Authorities are NOT ruling out foul play in an early-morning fire yesterday at a boat marina in Seneca that destroyed at least 18 luxury boats.  The call came in to the Seneca Fire Department just after 1 am.  When firefighters arrived at Spring Brook Marina, four boats were on fire, but soon after, 14 more were ablaze.  By the time the fire was extinguished at 8 am, a total of 18 boats had been destroyed.  No one was injured in the fire, but one report says damage could be as much as $2 million.  The state fire marshal’s office has been called in to investigate.
