A new conference for Princeton High School?
Princeton High School may be joining a new conference soon. Princeton, along with Hall, St. Bede, Orion, Sherrard and Rockridge have been extended invitations to join the Three Rivers Athletic Conference beginning with the 2013-14 school year. The invitation is for all sports and activities, including football. The 15-school conference will be split into two divisions; a seven-team South Division featuring Princeton, Hall, St. Bede, Orion, Rockridge, Sherrard and Kewanee. The eight-team North Division would have Bureau Valley, Amboy, Sterling Newman, Morrison, Erie, Riverdale, Prophetstown and Fulton. All schools have until February 1st to formally accept and all six schools are expected to accept. Hall and St. Bede had already said they’d accept if offered. Princeton, which would be the largest school in the newly-designed TRAC, is expected to approve the move at its next board meeting on January 25th.
