Princeton man dies in apparent hanging

A Princeton man is dead of an apparent hanging.  27-year old Brett Shepard was pronounced dead Saturday evening in the emergency room at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.  Although the results of toxicology tests are pending, no inquest is planned at this time according to Bureau County Coroner Janice Wamhoff.  On Monday, Bureau County Sheriff John Thompson said his department received the call just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday to go to the residence where Shepard was found.  Thompson says there is no indication at this time that any further investigation will be needed into Shepard's death.
