Trial date set for older of Westclox arson suspects

A trial date has been set for the older of the two teens accused of starting the Westclox fire in Peru.  The felony aggravated arson trial of 17-year old Steven Gallacher of La Salle is set to begin March 5th.  Judge Cynthia Racugglia will preside over the trial.  Gallacher was in court twice this week.  He was indicted on Tuesday and arraigned on Thursday.  His alleged cohort, a 15-year old Peru boy, is reportedly close to making a plea deal.  Gallacher is being held in the La Salle County Jail on $250,000 bond while the younger teen is being held in a detention home.
