Damage but no injuries in a couple of area fires

There was damage but no injuries in two area fires over the last couple of days.  Firefighters responded to a garage fire in Arlington just before 9 Friday night.  The garage and part of the house was damaged, but again, no one was hurt.  A late-night fire damaged a Spring Valley home Friday night.  It took firefighters about an hour and a half to put out the blaze at a single-story house on West Dakota Street.  Two people were home at the time of the fire, just before midnight, but neither was injured.
