Up to 1,000 customers affected by Ameren power outage

If you were without power for a while yesterday, you weren’t alone.  Ameren customers in Bureau, Marshall and Putnam Counties were affected by an outage yesterday afternoon.  Leigh Morris with Ameren Illinois says the outage happened when a rack on a utility pole broke, causing wires to contact other wires.  Morris says up to one-thousand customers were affected at the height of the outage.
