Four local life savers recognized
On December 11, 2011 a car traveling on Euclid Avenue in Princeton jumped the curb and struck a sign. The person inside was unconscious. At Monday’s Princeton City Council meeting Chief Tom Root presented Officer Joel Drozda, Nurse Marcia Hartwig, Officer Peg Machiejewski, and 17 year old PHS student, Seth Sprouse with Life Saving Awards, stating that if they hadn’t acted so quickly and calmly, the outcome could have been different. The victim, Teri O’Connor, thanked them for coming to her aid. In other business, the following
ordinances were approved: to enter into an agreement with Lee and Associates of Illinois from Chicago to provide real estate sales services for the Princeton Logistics Park; to raise the speed limit from 30 miles per hour to 45 miles per hour on North Sixth Street between East Central Street to Elm Place; and to add a stop sign at North Dallas Street and East Central Avenue.
