Firefighters battle Princeton residential fire

No one was injured in a house fire in Princeton yesterday afternoon at 430 South Pleasant Street.  Fire departments from Wyanet, Bureau, Spring Valley, and Malden assisted Princeton in extinguishing the flames. Putnam County ambulance was also called to the scene. Princeton Fire Chief John Petrakis said there were no injuries.  Petrakis hesitated to say whether the one and a half story stucco home was a total loss.  He says there was one person inside the home at the time of the blaze, but that person refused medical treatment.  An investigation continues into the cause of the fire.
