No injuries in downtown Kasbeer house fire

The investigation continues into a house fire last night in downtown Kasbeer.  Ohio Fire Chief Keith Ackerman says the family was home in the two-story house when the fire occurred.  All four family members got out of the house with no injuries reported.  But they were treated by Princeton EMS for smoke inhalation.  Ackerman says the fire started on the outside of the house, in the back by the dog-pen area and worked its way into the attic and down into the house.  The family was apparently alerted by a neighbor who saw the fire on the outside of their house, giving them time to evacuate.  It took firefighters about two hours to fully extinguish the blaze.  Ackerman didn’t have a dollar figure, but said the home sustained smoke and water damage.  The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
