LP school bus accident sends driver and 3 students to the hospital

The investigation continues into an accident on Interstate 80 involving a LaSalle-Peru High School bus that sent three students and the bus driver to the hospital.  According to the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened yesterday morning as the bus was taking the L-P girls freshman basketball team to a tournament in Morris.  While traveling eastbound, the bus left I-80 at milepost 93 near Ottawa and traveled into a field on the south side of the interstate.  The three girls were treated and released at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa.  No word yet on the driver's condition, although his injury was not believed to be serious.  An investigation continues by the LaSalle County Sheriff's office.
