Search over for gun-toting suicidal Princeton man

The search is over for a Princeton man described as suicidal and carrying a shotgun.  Geno Storm reportedly turned himself in Monday evening at the Bureau County Jail.  According to Princeton Police Chief Tom Root, the man had a domestic dispute with his wife in the morning before threatening to kill himself.  The man then left in his own vehicle, followed by Princeton Police.  He dumped his vehicle at Elm Lawn Cemetery before getting a ride to City County Park on he north end of Princeton.  All Princeton public schools were placed on lockdown and the call went out for help from other law enforcement agencies including the Bureau, Lee and Putnam County Sheriff’s offices, search and recovery teams, and fire and ambulance.  A detailed search was done of City County Park and the Red Covered Bridge area.  Schools in Princeton were dismissed at their regular time and the buses were running on schedule.  Bureau County Sheriff John Thompson says they would process Storm, but had no charges against him, as they were assisting Princeton Police, who will have charges against him.  So far, Storm has been charged with one count of domestic battery, with further charges pending.
