Princeton native to be featured in IVSO’s Holiday Concert

A special holiday music event is being offered this Saturday in Princeton.  The Illinois Valley Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Concert takes place at Princeton High School's Sally Skinner Council Auditorium.  The concert will feature a variety of holiday favorites, including Berlin’s White Christmas, A Canadian Brass Christmas, Sleigh Ride by Anderson, Carol of the Bells, and a special narration of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” by Princeton Mayor Keith Cain.  Princeton native Susan Nelson will be the concert’s guest soloist, performing Silent Night, O Little Town of Bethlehem and Bach’s Christmas Cantata 133.  Nelson says she’s thrilled to be returning to Princeton.  Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for students.  You can buy tickets online at IVSO.org, at your local Heartland Bank Bank & Trust office, or the Princeton Chamber of Commerce office.  The concert is sponsored by season sponsor WZOE-Z-98-WRVY, Heartland Bank & Trust Company, The City of Princeton, and Princeton Tourism & Visitor Bureau.
