Westclox arsonist gets ten year prison sentence

A LaSalle teen has been sentenced to a decade in prison for his part in the New Year's Eve fire at the Westclox building in Peru that injured a firefighter and caused over $400,000 in damage.  18-year old Steven Gallacher was found guilty of aggravated arson in October.  He was sentenced yesterday by Judge H. Chris Ryan, who said he would have been more lenient on Gallacher had he pleaded guilty.  A 15-year old Peru teen earlier pleaded guilty to his part in the fire.  He was sentenced to probation and community service.
