Man hospitalized after head-on collision in LaSalle

One man remains hospitalized after a head-on collision on Route 6 in La Salle.  The accident happened yesterday afternoon near Senica’s Oak Ridge Golf Course.  La Salle Police say a man driving a car eastbound crossed the center line and struck a semi, causing the semi to overturn in the ditch.  The driver of the truck, a Streator man, was not injured.  The driver of the car had to be extricated and Lifeflighted to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  No word yet on his condition.  Route 6 was shut down for several hours due to the accident.
