Traffic was blocked for a couple of hours this morning at the railroad tracks on North Main Street in Princeton. Just before 7 am, a witness reported hearing a loud noise and shortly after the report came in of a train stopped on the tracks across North Main just to the north of Darius Miller Park and the Princeton AMTRAK depot. Princeton Police Chief Tom Root says apparently the brakes failed on one of the cars on the train and it was stopped for repair work. He says his officers detoured traffic off of North Main onto North Euclid. The train was repaired and off the tracks shortly after 9 am.
