A Ladd woman is hospitalized in critical condition following a single-vehicle accident between Princeton and Tiskilwa. The Bureau County Sheriff’s Office says just after 6 last night about 2 miles south of Princeton on 1250 North Avenue. A 2001 Ford Taurus being driven by 43-year old Billy Strader of Princeton was traveling southbound when it went off the road, returned to the roadway, went into a skid and flipped. The car ended up in a field. The driver and all four passengers were injured. 65-year old Steve Kiser of Princeton had to be cut out of the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton and then flown by helicopter to Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where he’s in stable condition. 25-year old Ashley Weber of Ladd and 29-year old Jonathan Buckman of Princeton were ejected from the auto. Weber was taken by helicopter to Saint Francis and is in critical condition. Buckman was taken to Perry Memorial and then transferred to St. Francis. 44-year old Angela Heuer of Princeton was taken to Perry Memorial Hospital. The driver, Strader, was also taken to Saint Francis. He was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving With No License and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. Bureau County Sheriff John Thompson says an investigation into the crash continues.
