If you're looking for something special to do on the first day of summer, the Princeton Chamber of Commerce has something planned for you on Friday. Chamber Director Kim Frey says more than 25 downtown chamber businesses will be staying open a little later to showcase their products and services. The Summer Solstice event also features food and wine tasting and specials from many retailers. The event is from 4 to 8 pm and starts at the chamber office, where you'll pick up your complimentary wine glass. You’ll also get a passport, which lists participating locations. Frey adds another plus is free transportation that takes shoppers between the north and south shopping districts. Each business you visit will stamp your passport and at the end of event, passports will be collected and you'll have a chance to win a $100 chamber gift card. Frey says events like this encourage residents to shop locally. Z-98 will be broadcasting on-location from the Summer Solstice in Princeton, beginning just after 4 tomorrow afternoon.
