Officals from the Princeton Electrical Department claim a trip coil that was burnt up in one of the department's substations is what caused roughly half the service area to lose power about 10 minutes after the 9 o'clock hour. The department is currently doing some switching around the substation to better understand the problem but said that the power grid had been returned to main line. Officials belive that the outage affected most everyone south of the BNSF tracks in Princeton but those north of the tracks were mostly unaffected.
