Another group of emotional parents expressed their concern over the possible closing of Reagan Middle School in Princeton at last nights' Princeton Elementary Board meeting. Two Tiskilwa parents addressed the board during public comment and stressed their fear of what problems could come if the board decides to close the middle school. Kelly Eiken of Tiskilwa told the board she pulled her kids out of private school to go to Reagan and asked them to consider all solutions to the issues before making a decision. The board answered the testimonies by saying they have not made a decision and will not until their September meeting.
Among other things the board also approved a tentative budget for the 2014 FY, recalled and hired 19 staff members in the special ed and bright beginnings programs and accepted the resignation of 5 special ed staff members.
