An article released by the Chicago Tribune this morning says more women are accusing the La Salle County Jail of unlawful strip-searches.
Attorney Terry Ekl told the Tribune that he "has reason to believe" that other women have been unlawfully strip-searched by the La Salle County Sheriff's Office.
Ekl is currently representing 33-year-old Dana Holmes who's strip search was captured on video following her DUI arrest back in May.
She claims in a lawsuit that the sheriff's department caused her emotional harm and violated her civil rights by strip searching her without legal justification.
Officials at the La Salle County Jail, Sheriff's and State's Attorney's Office have said they will not comment on pending litigation.
Ekl told the Tribune that a handful of women complained of unlawful strip searches after Holmes' lawsuit was filed and that his office is working to determine the circumstances and credibility behind the complaints.
