31-year-old Pamela Levi of Princeton was sentenced to one year in the Illinois Department of Corrections yesterday after she was found guilty of the Class 4 Felony Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Levi was stopped back in January for a vehicle violation and was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance by a De Pue Police Officer.
Levi consented to a search and was found with less than one gram of heroin on her. She was taken into custody and charged.
On top of her year in jail, Levi was also ordered to pay fines, fees and court costs. Her previous convictions include Obstructing a Peace Officer in 2010 and Retail Theft in 2012.
In a separate case, 26-year-old Daniel Miceli was re-sentenced to serve one year in the IDOC after he admitted to violating his probation. Miceli was arrested in 2010 after TRI-DENT agents found less than one gram of heroin on him. He was put on probation in May of 2011.
