>>Quinn Touts ACA Enrollment Numbers
(Chicago, IL) -- Governor Quinn says more than 100-thousand people have enrolled through the Affordable Care Act. But Quinn left out two very important facts, almost all of those people were early enrollees in Cook County last year, and every single one of them enrolled in Medicaid. So what about the rest of Illinois? More than 14-thousand have submitted applications for the state's expanded Medicare program. But, state officials have no idea how many people may have signed up for private insurance through the marketplace. Those numbers will have to come from Washington.
>>Home Lots Available For One Dollar In Rossville
(Rossville, IL) -- Anyone looking for a change of pace may want to consider moving to Rossville, Illinois. Town officials are selling home lots for just one-dollar. Mayor Richard Queen says there's no catch to the deal, the new land owner will just have to develop building plans within 90 days and have a home on the property within a year.
There are 40 lots up for sale at that price and they're going on a first-come, first-serve basis.

(Chicago, IL) -- Illinois is launching a new job training program for veterans. The "Get Skills to Work" program allows vets to get trained for manufacturing jobs. It's part of a partnership between the state, G-E, community colleges, and manufacturers. Governor Quinn says the initiative will help give veterans the job skills they need to get back into the workforce and provide a decent living for their families. >>Illinois Prepares For Earthquake Drill
(Springfield, IL) -- About half-a-million people in Illinois are about to learn how to take cover if an earthquake hits the state. They're participating in the Great Central U.S. Shakeout, a multi-state earthquake drill. One thing they'll learn is to "Drop, Cover, and Hold." That means drop to the floor, find cover near a sturdy piece of furniture, and hold onto it just in case it moves. The drill will start at 10:17 this morning.

(Chicago, IL) -- Derrick Rose dropped 22 points to steer the Bulls toward victory last night. They topped the Pistons 96-81. Carlos Boozer added ten points and eleven rebounds. The Bulls play the Pacers tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m.
>>Cardinals Lose Game Five
(Los Angeles, CA) -- The Cardinals lost Game Five of the National League Championship Series. The Dodgers pulled off a 6-4 victory last night. The Series is now headed back to St. Louis. Game Six is tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
